Sky just recently added a new feature to Sky Kids app. Children can now play various games which stars much loved TV characters like Ben 10, Spongebob Squarepants and Peppa Pig.
Some of the new games are Spongebob Chess, Ben 10 Diamondhead Shoot, The Loud House Food Fight, Peppa Pig Memory Game, Henry Danger Target Practice and Bubble Guppies Popathon. The app will be regularly added new contents, particularly in the games section. An upcoming Sky Kids Arts Studio will be included in the app which aims to enhance the children’s creativity. Sky’s first Head of Kids Content, Lucy Murphy, said that since the app’s launch just last year, more than 500,000 registered and created a profile.
Murphy believes the success drove them to continually develop additional features to the app. Murphy remarked, “It’s a great way to keep the kids entertained, and now with new games to play and more being added every month, they have another fun way to dive into the worlds of their favorite characters. And as mum and dads know that it’s a safe and secure environment, everyone’s happy.”
Sky Kids app is offered free to Sky Box Sets (Family Bundle) and Variety Bundles customers. Aside from the new games section, Sky Kids contains more than 4,500 episodes of on-demand TV shows like Peppa Pig, Scooby Doo, Octonauts and Aliens Love Underpants. From Disney, Nick Jr., KidsVids and CITV, all the available episodes of the children’s favorite shows can be watched offline via Sky Q Multiscreen or Sky Go Extra.
Sky Kids app also lets children create a Sky Buddy, a personalized avatar which makes sure the kids are only watching shows that are appropriate to their ages.
Meanwhile, parents can still regulate the child’s screen time by setting time limits and bed time settings.
