The growing population of Virgin Media broadband subscribers as it reaches up to 4.9M

On the third quarter of 2016, Virgin Media have reached their highest Q3 result for the past seven years. The company gained 92,000 new broadband subscribers over the whole year and 59,900 of it was attained within July to September. Making their broadband subscribers to rise up in an over-all population of 4,867,900.

Fortunate enough with Virgin Media’s progressing Project Lightning initiative, 95,000 new premises for superior fibre-rich network were developed during the third quarter of the year. The unstoppable increase in the success of Project Lightning resulted to a total of 250,000 premises built.


Meanwhile, 450,000 to 500,000 premises are anticipated to rise across UK and Ireland to support the promised enhanced services of Virgin Media to their subscribers.


Virgin Media also proclaimed that due to the constant demand of ultrafast speed network connections, they are expecting more premises to be developed for the future years to come.


Furthermore to what they have promised, Virgin Media assured their subscribers that all these objectives will be met as their building partners remains to cope up to their demands as the volume of their subscribers risen.


With this innovation in improving their network, Virgin Media now guarantees a high satisfaction from their subscribers as they experience 81% enhanced video services and ultrafast speeds of at least 100Mbps especially in their next-generation TV platforms around UK and Ireland.


Ever since the contract between Virgin Media and Bloor Homes was released, it has been reported that new and old subscribers of their ultrafast broadband amazingly increased alongside with all the requests for the addition of Kingdom, Ash vs. Evil Dead and Magic City in their portfolio.


Now, Virgin Media focuses in widening their services. They aim to offer their ultrafast connection at eight targeted places. Some of these are Exeter, Nottingham, Malmesbury, Manchester, Coventry and Leicestershire.
